Free upgrade to Version 6? Modified on: Thu, Sep 17, 2015 at 11:12 PM Question: I bought a licence to SWP version 5.5 with a promise that it would give access to a free upgrade to version 6. Now I see that version 6 is available and I have downloaded the program, but appearently the program does not accept my old licence number. Do I need a new licence number? Response: Yes.

Version 6 is available for both Windows and Mac. A Version 6 serial number is needed to activate Version 6 and have full use of the product. Customers who purchased Version 5.5 of Scientific WorkPlace, Scientific Word, or Scientific Notebook after November 1, 2010 are eligible for a free upgrade to Version 6.
